Tasks

-Provide engineering support for projects in construction -Perform a variety of Traffic Engineering analyses including traffic modeling and simulations -Form lasting connections with peers in your class. -Collaborate and communicate effectively with engineers in other transportation disciplines including Roadway, Drainage, and Structures -Prepare design plans and reports across various Traffic Engineering disciplines – Signalization, Lighting, ITS, and Signing/Pavement Marking

What You Bring

“Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background screening which may include, but is not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, driving record check, criminal background check, and an investigative consumer report. These screenings will be conducted by Dewberry’s background vendor of choice and will be conducted in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local law.” *At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization. -Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline -Ability to manage multiple projects and complete work in a timely fashion to meet project schedules -Work with and learn from experienced Traffic Engineers and Project Managers -EI or EIT license or the commitment to obtain within one year -Knowledge of FDOT roadway design criteria and roadway plans production processes -Proficiency with Microstation Open Roads Designer -0-2 years of relevant experience working on FDOT or similar public agency projects
