Tasks

-Ensure that purchasing policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enable the company to function and compete effectively. -Input and hold responsibility for maintenance budgets. -Ensure professional and consistent supplier management is applied across the supply base in line with the purchasing policy. -Provide management reports and key performance data and monitor cost savings. -Work with suppliers and have a process in place to measure effective performance, quality and compliance. Measure against KPI criteria if these exist. -Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance. -Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities. -Utilize appropriate resources including Supplier Development to ensure appropriate supplier partnerships and delivery of sourced products. -Ensure parts are sourced in full and aligned to production schedules and customer requirements. -Manage relationships with suppliers and select and develop new suppliers. -Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the maintenance strategy. -Manage, coach and develop a high performing Procurement team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements. -Negotiate and manage contract terms with suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders and colleagues. -Ensure purchasing policy, guidelines and any associated documents are in place and updated when required. -Review and negotiate existing agreements to optimize commercial terms. -Assess tenders from potential suppliers. -Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements. -Develop creative and innovative procurement processes (eProcurement). -Create and review opportunities to implement best practice purchasing policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance and deliver best value and savings.

What You Bring

-Bachelor of Engineering, Diploma, ITI certifications -Outstanding verbal and written communication skills -Knowledge / Experience in customer communications and vendor development. -Knowledge and technical understanding of Stell fabrication processes and components and supply chain management. -Proven experience in a purchasing management role, preferably within an automotive or steel manufacturing environment. -Extensive plant level experience with significant proven Procurement management experience. -Good technical and IT skills, working knowledge of SAP or Netsuite will be advantage -Excellent organizational and leadership skills -A results-driven approach and a keen eye for detail -Contract management and supplier experience. -Proven 10-12 years of experience as a Procurement or Sourcing lead/manager -Proficiency in Microsoft Office -Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvement -Understanding of Project management experience. -Knowledge of various processes from Fabrication, Product Assembly, Plating etc. -Team player with strong organizational skills.
