Tasks

-Lifting/handling computers and related equipment. -Mentor branch estimating teammates and provide appropriate performance feedback, coaching, and training required to build their commercial acumen. -Provide industry leading service and communication that differentiates Nucor Rebar Fabrication from the competition. -Oversee the accuracy, quality, productivity, and timeliness of the branch estimating team and all 3rd party resources. -Perform or assist in periodic performance reviews of the branch estimating team. -Assign all estimating work to the appropriate branch estimating teammates so that sales has the information required to intelligently bid each project based on our customer’s expectations. -Using hands to operate objects, tools, computers, and other electronic equipment. -Lead branch estimating team to achieve enterprise and division goals, including safety culture and culture of continuous improvement and growth. -Communicate with the Estimating Supervisor and other Estimating Leads to manage and balance estimating resources across the division to support sales leadership’s strategy and initiatives

What You Bring

-Ability read and understand construction drawings such as structural, architectural and civil drawings to assist in the assessment and estimating of the project, understand project scope and bidding strategy. -Must be able to meet critical deadlines and handle changing priorities -Must be able to work overtime when required. -Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. -Knowledge of concrete structures, CRSI/ACI standards -Can demonstrate analytical and problem solving abilities -Must have good communication and computer skills -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s safety programs and standards. -Ability to track plan revisions/bid updates against previous work -Possess a thorough knowledge of the CRSI Manual of Standard Practice and be able to ensure alignment with the division’s processes, best practices and market differences. -Demonstrate leadership consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values.

-Extended hours may be required during peak production. Work is frequently performed beyond the normal weekday schedule.
