The Role

Overview

Conduct traffic impact, safety, signal, and modeling studies for transportation projects.

Tasks

-Interact with our clients; MDOT, local agencies, other consulting companies, and contractors. -Develop MOT plans utilizing Traffic Data. -Manage tasks and mentor staff. -Assist with traffic signal design and operations. -Assist in developing project budgets/schedules. -Report writing. -Traffic impact studies, safety studies, signal optimization, and traffic forecasting. -Assist in developing technical proposals. -Assist with traffic engineering tasks working with transportation staff in other Fishbeck offices and with peers in the industry.

What You Bring

-Experience with ITE Trip Generation Manual and traffic studies. -Preferred knowledge of MDOT traffic standards and guidelines. -Excellent computer and verbal communication skills are a must. -Minimum Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. -Intersection and roadway traffic modeling. -Roundabout analysis and geometric evaluation. -Experience with Highway Capacity Software, Synchro, Vissim, Rodel, and MicroStation software. -2+ ears of experience.
