Laboratory Services & Commercial Accounts Manager

Overview

Manage commercial lab accounts, support customers, and drive sales for scientific services.

Tasks

-Improvement and Development: Proactively identifying problems and suggesting solutions to department processes, and contributing to the development and implementation of new, customer-focused services. -Account Management: Maintaining and developing relationships with existing commercial customers. -Customer Service: Providing first-line support and advice, and ensuring all customer services are maintained. -Compliance: Being responsible for the timely completion of internal/external failure reports, non-conformities, and notifications to customers. You will also need to achieve deadlines and SLAs with solid and sustained work outputs. -Marketing and Strategy: Assisting with advertising campaigns, developing marketing material, and using market knowledge to assess opportunities and help develop the market strategy.

What You Bring

-At least two years' experience in Analytical Laboratory work or account management/customer service roles. -A good scientific background. -Additionally, as part of the employment offer, you will need to pass background, identity, and employment referencing checks. -Good numeracy, literacy, and computer skills, including being technically competent in the use of all IT support systems (LIMS, CSM, Portal, and Web). -It is necessary for you to have the legal right to work in the UK when you begin employment with South East Water. -Proven time management and communication skills. The ability to be a strong team player who can also work unsupervised and produce quality work to key deadlines. -A full, clean driving licence -Up to A-Level qualification or equivalent. -Laboratory Communication: Communicating effectively with the Laboratory team to help prioritise workload and customer requirements.
