Senior Property Accountant

Oversee accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties.

Tasks

-Support property management in annual budget preparation for non-operational expenses. -Prepare and submit periodic reporting packages to lenders and investors. -Analyze and record monthly accrued expenses when necessary. -Review and analyze monthly general ledger activity, resolving discrepancies as needed. -Document and update accounting procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. -Prepare year-end audit workpapers and manage the audit process for the portfolio. -Record monthly financial data including rents, losses/gains, and vacancies. -Monitor available cash and process cash transfers as needed. -Conduct monthly account reconciliations and update analytical schedules promptly. -Create and maintain payables and journal entries for each property. -Ensure timely payments for mortgages and real estate taxes. -Act as project manager on specific accounting and software initiatives.
