The Role

Overview

Operate production utilities, handle material, wrap, stack, and ensure safety.

Tasks

-Use a tape measure and miter saw to cut runners and side boards to the proper length for banding. -Banding together units at the end of each production run. -Continuous wrapping and sub-bundling of material and stacking of millwork for shipment. -Handling, stacking, and grading of material up to 18ft in length and weighing up to 50lbs repetitively. -Monitor quality of product, equipment, and safety and working with supervisor as issues arise -General cleaning of work area and surroundings.

What You Bring

-Minimum: High School Diploma/GED. -Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery. -Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. -Manufacturing facility experience preferred -Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment -Forklift experience preferred -Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment. -Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures -Ability to problem solve and identify safety hazards. -Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role – including lifting 50 lbs, standing for long periods of time, and completing repetitive tasks -Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
