The Role
Overview

Tasks
-Acts as the primary liaison between internal/external project partners, ensuring effective communication, development, coordination and implementation of action plans. -Operates with minimal supervision, receiving primarily administrative guidance, with assignments framed in broad general objectives and limits, showcasing a leadership role with significant autonomy. -You will independently guide and resolve technical matters on project with ability to consult with Technical Leadership on complex building code issues, while providing expertise in Healthcare or large campus program/project management. -Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments. -Leads a team of Architects and/or designers, orchestrating and aligning the activities of the project. -Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific project team. -Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.

-Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. -Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed. -Ability to interact regularly and professionally with senior management and technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issues. -Valid US Driver’s License, and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review. -Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available now or in the future for this position -Federal government portfolio (DOD, VA, GSA, etc.). -Experience in developing scope, fee, and terms for proposals and change orders for interdisciplinary teams related to building design and engineering. -Industry certifications such as CCM or PMP. -Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering and 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities. -Additional credentialing such as PMP, DBIA, and/or LEEP AP. -Direct experience managing projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other Department of Defense contracting agencies. -15+ years of experience, including experience with federal programs and managing projects and people. -Due to the nature of this work, US citizenship is required. -Engineer with strong, hands-on technical knowledge as well as proven experience leading a team through all phases of a project. The ideal candidate will have experience managing federal design projects and competence across federal design criteria, including UFC’s, ETL’s, AFMAN’s, and AFI’s. -Experience with (UFC’s, ETL’s, AFMAN’s, and AFI’s.). -Proven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverables and deadline requirements. -US licensed Architect or Engineer. -USACE CQM certification or equivalent. -Holds or previously held a Department of Defense security clearance.
