Provide mechanical engineering support for capital and maintenance projects across US facilities.

Tasks

-Develop a detailed scope of work, budgets, and schedules -Assist in preparation of Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) requests -Understand and apply applicable external codes and standards and regulations (ie. OSHA, NFPA, Building Code, etc.) -Act as a point of contact/liaison, provide technical support for consulting engineers, contractors, suppliers, and external agencies -As a member of the engineering group, you will be expected to model/lead safety behavior, be positive and supportive of company goals and objectives, and value diversity. -Assist in the development of internal safety and project standards -Solicit contractors, vendors, and consultants -Study and understand process flows, and equipment functionality -Travel to all US manufacturing facilities to provide technical support including troubleshooting, problem-solving, equipment assessments, and sharing of best practices and corporate standards -Consult with supervisors, tradespeople, operators, and purchasers -Handle a wide range of verbal, written, and presentation communications including progress report writing, presentations on project status to peers, managers, and mill employees -Supervise trades and contractors for safety and quality -Provide input into the design and optimization of equipment to maximize reliability and performance -Provide auxiliary support to facilities for shutdowns, safety projects, and other duties as assigned -Assist with project construction, commissioning, and handover -Conduct engineering reviews of project plans, drawings, materials, and installations -Assist in the conceptualization, development, and execution of capital projects

What You Bring

-Preference is given to applicants with 5 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment -The ability to read Civil, Structural, and Mechanical Drawings is required -Strong problem-solving and project management skills are required -Proven interpersonal and leadership/supervisory skills including planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring of work activities to achieve project objectives -Ability to work independently as well as part of a team -Completion of a Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution is required -Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Power BI are required -Excellent skills in all forms of communication -Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with all levels of the organization -Ability to coordinate, facilitate and conduct internal and external project review meetings
