Create proposals, marketing materials, and support business development for San Diego office.

Tasks
-Support the writing and production of qualifications-based proposals describing technically complex concepts in a way that non-technical readers can understand. Each proposal is custom written, working from various InDesign templates. The response could be a single page or 50 pages. It could be a response in SF330 format or an architect’s request for qualifications. Every situation is unique. -Join and engage with appropriate architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) industry organizations, including Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). -Maintain up to date data in various locations including Coffman’s CRM, marketing database, and more. -Multi-discipline engineering services plus corrosion control, commissioning and project/construction management -Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers. -Work hand in hand with the local and companywide marketing team, engineers, various departments, and subconsultants to find and track potential project leads, assess prospective clients’ needs, and evaluate the competitive environment.

Your responsibilities will grow as you grow at Coffman. -Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures and basic marketing principles. -Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities). -Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat, working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. -Knowledge of how to interpret scopes of work, project requirements, and evaluation criteria is a strong preference. -Must be a self-starter who is able to see the big picture and connect the vision of the company with his/her job, be persistent, and follow through in a consistent manner. -Must work well under pressure. -Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and desktop publishing software preferred. Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files. -3 to 7 years of professional A/E/C marketing experience preferred. -Strong organizational ability, detail oriented, high degree of accuracy. -B.S. degree in related field preferred. -Basic understanding of Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Qualification (RFQ) is a strong preference. -46 years in business -Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities). -Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. -Able to work independently, as a team member, and as a team leader.
