The Capability Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of Orbit’s Professional Development Framework (PDF) and wider capability agenda. This role ensures that capability data is effectively captured, maintained, and reported, enabling evidence-based decisions on learning, performance, and progression.
- Act as a first point of contact for queries relating to capability data, professional development frameworks, and associated systems.
- Support the design and implementation of tools, templates, and processes that underpin capability management.
- Provide administrative support for professional development initiatives such as CIH qualifications, technical accreditation pathways, and capability review cycles.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of capability assessments, development plans, and professional registrations.
- Produce and maintain regular reporting dashboards and metrics for the Head of Learning & Talent Development, including capability completion rates, professional development tracking, and trends.
- Coordinate communication and updates across business areas to promote engagement with the PDF and professional development opportunities.
- Support the organisation of workshops, briefings, and learning events linked to capability and professionalisation.
- Coordinate and administer all activities linked to Orbit’s Professional Development Framework (PDF) and capability assessments.

- Understanding of professional frameworks, qualifications, or regulated competence schemes (e.g., CIH, Building Safety).
- Confident in handling and interpreting data, including using Excel or reporting tools to produce insights.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Ability to be resilient and manage multiple stakeholders’ requests
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience in a learning, HR, or capability development environment.

- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and suggest process improvements.
