Maintenance Mechanic

Overview

Maintain and repair commercial HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Tasks

-Support office furniture, machinery, and equipment moves as requested -Respond to emergency calls and perform other duties as required -Perform preventive maintenance on systems including tool mobilization, equipment setup, and proper documentation with minimal disruption to occupants -Diagnose and repair equipment with minimal use of third-party vendors, troubleshooting problems and implementing corrective actions -Maintain complete system documentation in central resource locations for all repairs and system changes -Analyze system data with Chief Engineer to recommend maintenance changes, upgrades, and replacements -Monitor and maintain refrigeration systems, heat exchangers, HVAC, hot water systems, air conditioning equipment, and electrical systems while recording readings and making necessary adjustments

What You Bring

-Factory training and experience with distribution center equipment (Polychem/Greenbridge Strappers, Crown Lifts, Uni-lifts, Pallet Wrappers) -Vendor management capabilities -Ability to work on building roofs and maintain clean, safe workspace -Two years of related trade schooling or equivalent experience -High school diploma or state equivalent -Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems) and facility subsystems -Minimum 2 years of experience working with mechanical systems -Professional approach to equipment maintenance with strong safety practices -Experience working with commercial and industrial equipment -Ability to provide professional feedback on preventative maintenance procedures -Experience with low/medium voltage power systems -Carpentry and plumbing system experience -Prior experience in industrial maintenance service technician role
