Evaluating and documenting performance issues at inspections and working in the off season to improve the tooling and procedures to correct the issues identified.
Perform duties and complete assignments while maintaining GEH standards for integrity, safety and quality.
Responsible to support planning of GEH project schedule and delivery and provide task leadership, technical direction, work coordination and supervision of work teams composed of GEH and contingent worker personnel.
Prepare automated tooling and equipment prior to nuclear power plant outage inspections.
Perform drywell inspection activities at nuclear customer sites.
Participate in the development of new NDE techniques and tooling improvements.
Communicate with customers and supervise of up to 15 contractors and co-workers.
Support business activities including inspection tooling and technique development, Commercial Operations and Planning & Staffing and Training.

Knowledge of GE Nuclear / GE Energy products, processes, customers, markets and competition
Ability and willingness to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated areas.
Experience designing, operating, and maintaining automated or robotic tooling.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Established project management skills.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% to domestically and internationally plant sites (While it is preferred for the candidate to relocate to Wilmington, NC, more experienced candidates could remain in their current location)

Ability to climb 10 flights of stairs twice per day.
High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Non-Destructive Evaluation /Inspections in the Nuclear Industry
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field from accredited University
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated leadership of field teams working at customer sites
Ability to pass Fitness for Duty requirements and site security requirements to obtain unescorted access.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience performing mechanical repairs and maintenance.
Ability to pass respirator fit test and physical.
Ability to work under high stress conditions.
Strong Communication Skills and Customer Centric Attitude
Ability and willingness to work 12 hrs./day and 7 days/week when needed for project delivery.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Familiarity with RFF activities, primarily NDE automated inspections
