Tasks

-Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all processing and support systems to specifications consistent with all Federal and State fire, safety and environmental regulations. -Adheres to and ensures all company, and regulatory safety standards and rules are followed -Demonstrate and lead by example a commitment to safe behavior and to making the plant a safer place to work. Support/drive hazard identification, risk assessments, and risk controls efforts. -Support preoperative and postoperative inspection of the equipment and ensure necessary repairs are entered and actioned within the CMMS. -Coordinate with Plant Manager and operations closely -Act as emergency coordinator for the plant. -Maintain balance on slippery surfaces. -Lift, carry and push/pull up to 45 pounds without assistance. -Resolve technical issues presented throughout a shift, investigate and identify a solution. -Stand for up to eight hours per day. -Increase equipment reliability through ownership of continuous improvement and preventive maintenance.

-Ability to work in an open building environment with exposure to the elements. -Endurance – Sticks with the task until it is completed in the most productive and safe manner. Works through challenges that come up. -VFD trouble shooting -Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification. Technical certifications are highly desired. -Motor and Gearbox replacements -Potential exposure to extreme weather conditions. -Dependability – Is someone supervisors and coworkers can count on. Follows through and does what he/she says he/she will do. Shows up for work on time and adheres to the established work schedule. -Experience troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic systems -Ethics – Adheres to the policies and rules set forth by the Company. Does not bend the rules or cut corners. Is honest and trustworthy. -Experience selecting appropriate circuit protectors, wire and cable, sensors, safety hardware, PLC hardware, remote I/O, VFD and servo systems. -Experience reading technical drawings and schematics -Experience with industrial controls (valves, sensors, actuators, control systems, Electro Hydraulic Experience, conveyor (tracking), rollers. -Safety Orientation – Follows and promotes safety rules and procedures. Recognizes hazards and anticipates danger. Does not take inappropriate risks. -The ability to speak, read, and write in English. -Experience troubleshooting hydraulic equipment, circuits, and components -3 (or more) years of direct experience maintaining same or similar machinery, in a production or processing environment -The ability to stand, climb, bend, twist, and lift materials or tools as needed
