The Role

Overview

Coordinate metal finishing, handle parts, equipment, and ensure quality in production.

Tasks

-Identify parts from blueprints to verify that they are properly tagged. -Hanging of parts weighing up to 200 lbs. on an overhead conveyor using material handling equipment. -Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs. -Use simple measuring equipment such as tape measures. -Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs. -Reacting to system alarms and basic sanding procedures.

What You Bring

-Other: Respirator certification required. -Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking. -Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile). -Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs. -The work in this area is physically demanding and requires the ability to sustain a continuous work pace for extended periods. -Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures. -Have the ability to use simple material handling equipment such as powered walking stackers, storage trucks and pallet trucks. -Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs. -A working knowledge of shop math. -Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees. -Have the ability to learn proper grinding procedures to smooth welds and remove scratches from steel parts and enclosures. -Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs. -Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.
