The Role

Overview

Design and manage water/wastewater treatment systems as a professional engineer.

Tasks

-Coordinate design drawings and related specifications, construction costs estimates, etc., with the other technical disciplines. -Prepare reports relating to water/wastewater and other environmental engineering systems, including recommendations for changes in design, construction or operational procedures and practices. -Actively oversee consultant design work for assigned projects. -Prepare environmental drawings and details, specifications, estimates, and/or studies for design projects under the direction of licensed staff. -Develop and maintain project documentation, including records of meetings, correspondence, and progress -Review shop drawings, respond to contractor Requests for Information, create and/or review Information Bulletins, and provide similar construction administration and observation during the project’s construction. -Review reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates prepared by design consultants. -Perform environmental engineering duties including designing water/wastewater treatment systems, distribution systems, onsite disposal systems, etc. -Perform a full range of supervisory duties, including reviewing the work of subordinate staff. -Actively manage the schedule of assigned projects according to workload, priorities, and design schedules.

What You Bring

-Travel may be required (approximately 20%). -Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver’s License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required.
