The Role

Overview

Perform wire cutting, order kitting, and warehouse duties for value-added services.

Tasks

-Receive, pick, relocate, and put away wire and pipe. Load pipe on trucks for delivery. -Assist with warehouse activities utilizing a RF scanner to, pick, pack, ship, receive, put-away, cycle count, inventory, and process outbound audits, as needed. -Utilizing, or learn to use, all necessary computer software and industrial equipment. -Conduct order kitting and sub-assembly operations to customer specification. Ensure transaction accuracy. -Coordinate with supervisor or manager on all value-added services activities and performance. -Perform wire cutting using reel-to-reel and coiler machines. -Set up and perform parallels. -Utilize various pieces of material handling equipment (MHE) including pallet movers, sit down and stand up forklifts, high lift reach trucks, and order picker. -Maintain the warehouse so it is clean, organized, and safe for all employees.

What You Bring

-Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). -Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse terminology and practices. -Ability to use contemporary merchandise processing equipment, such as hand-held scanners. -Ability to understand and follow general and/or written instructions. -Valid driver’s license. -Ability to use warehouse equipment and inventory systems. -1+ years of warehouse experience. -High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). -1+ years of experience working in a wire cutting, CNC, machine operator, and/or production capacity, preferred. -Must be 18 years of age or older. -Ability to work efficiently and meet minimum productivity standards. -Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification. 1+ years of experience using a stand-up reach forklift, power pallet jacks, cherry picker, and sit-down forklift. -Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more). -Ability to be reliable, open to change, and adaptable. -Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships). -Ability to perform basic mathematics and arithmetic. -Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs. -Complete certification to perform Pulling Heads, if required by manufacturer. -Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device. -Verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. -Reading and understanding cut tags and cut comments. -Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment. -Proactively problem solve issues. -Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point). -Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs.
