Tasks

-Interact and train customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call and explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences -Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner -Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians -Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming -Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld -Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships -Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers -Train and mentor less experienced technicians -Create and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects -Commission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications -Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures -Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets -Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems

What You Bring

-Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools -Strong computer skills, including computer networking fundamentals -Experience in BAS, HVAC, or related industry -Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district -Niagara AX and/or Niagara 4 certification -High School Diploma or GED -Experience with any common integration protocols such as: BACnet MST / IP, LON, Modbus TCP / RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL -Competency in the operation of HVAC equipment and controls -Technical training and 5+ years of equivalent combination of education and experience -Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record -Ability to read low voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams -OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (Daikin provides this training during onboarding process) -The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth -Factory Certified Training, Online Training Courses, or other professional on the job training in the Building Automation and HVAC Industry -Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position -Current first aid / CPR card -Competency in operation of engineering/commissioning tools, DDC controllers and field devices, BACnet protocol fundamentals
