Procure materials, manage suppliers, and support operations for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Determine and initiate follow through on the appropriate action to resolve various issues that may arise during the project or purchasing process. -Maintain consistent communication with internal customers to ensure accurate planning, scheduling, receiving, accounting, inspection, etc. -Actively address and resolve any deviations or invoice related issues. -Prepare accurate RFQ’s and solicits bids for materials and services. -Provide consistent and timely updates for any changes related to PO delivery dates. -Consistently monitor and manage supplier performance as it relates to quality and service. -Issue purchase orders and confirm order acknowledgment from suppliers. -Work with existing suppliers and develop new sources to secure materials and services to best fit project needs. -Review supplier quotes and negotiate terms in order to achieve the best overall value while maintaining quality. -Communicate any instances of non-conformances to suppliers.

What You Bring

-Experience with inventory management and utilizing inventory planning software. -4+ years’ of Buyer or Purchasing experience within the construction, manufacturing, or related industry. -Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism when interacting with internal and external personnel. -Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers. -Ability to generate advanced reports using Excel and other related software’s -Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related discipline (Preferred). -Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Acumatica, Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or related software. -Proficient with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.
