Tasks

-Procuring and managing subcontractors (e.g., engineering subcontractors, construction contractors, drillers, laboratories) -Overseeing construction quality assurance -Managing projects and tasks -Providing support for permit applications -Communicating technical information to varied audiences (e.g., clients, staff, regulators, and stakeholders), including writing technical reports -Supporting litigation or allocation matters -Preparing design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for remedial actions -Supporting, performing, or leading site characterization studies, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and engineering evaluations on contaminated soil, groundwater, and sediment remediation and drinking water treatment projects -Drafting engineering designs for water treatment processes to mitigate various environmental contaminants

What You Bring

-Demonstrated experience with the New Jersey Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment Program -Experience supporting permit applications for water treatment and environmental remediation construction activities (e.g., under NPDES, UIC, municipal building codes, sewer permitting) -Experience managing contractors at environmental remediation sites -Demonstrated experience with water treatment process engineering design, implementation, operation, and/or optimization -Experience collecting and interpreting geotechnical sampling data on soil or sediment -Current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training certification -Willingness to travel and work in the field frequently -Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers -Experience developing cost estimates for investigation and remediation actions -Experience with remedial investigation, design, and implementation, including sampling plan development and implementation, data analysis, and remedy/process design and construction for environmental media such as soil, groundwater, sediment, indoor air, wastewater, and drinking water. -Experience performing and interpreting groundwater, surface water, or stormwater modeling -Excellent written and oral communication skills -Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or an E.I.T. certification with the ability to obtain a P.E. license within 1 year -Proficiency with Microsoft® Office products -Experience with the use of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, advanced Excel, and/or 3D visualization and graphics applications to support engineering evaluations and designs -5+ years of professional experience in environmental investigation and remediation -Possess strong organizational abilities
