Engineer I, Civil & Structural

Overview

Assist in designing and analyzing steel structures and concrete foundations for projects.

Tasks

-Work with suppliers to develop budgets and pricing estimates -Prepare calculations, drawings, and reports under the guidance of senior engineers -Interface with internal and external teams to ensure that design interface information for structural commodities is accurate and properly accounted for -Plan and review deliverable schedules, including project documentation and equipment -Ensure arrangement and foundation interface information meets requirements -Assist in the design and structural analysis of steel structures and concrete foundations -Review customer specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations -Establish corrective actions to reduce nonconformances and improve quality -Prepare and review budgets, bids, technical requirements, and commercial requirements -Collect, review, interpret, and integrate design requirements from customers, suppliers, and the parent company -Prepare and review engineering technical requirements to support the overall project proposal and bid strategy

What You Bring

-Familiarity with ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318 are desired. -Experience with Earthquake Engineering concepts and tools such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD is a plus. -Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering is required. Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is preferred. -Travel 5%.
