Maintain and operate GC/MS instruments, analyze samples, ensure quality.

Tasks

-Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate -Analyzes samples by GC/MS -Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner -Maintains GC/MS instrumentation -Reviews and assembles all supporting GC/MS data -Makes calibration standards or other quality control samples

What You Bring

-Understands and uses appropriate computer programs and databases and other software in a Windows-based environment -GC/MS experience preferred -Positive attitude toward quality control, safety procedures, and ethical practices -Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field -Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or Sponsorship -Tunes and calibrates GC/MS -Regular attendance and punctuality -Ability to work independently and within a team environment, as well as recognize and meet all deadlines or due dates -Problem-solving ability; troubleshooting techniques -Above average technical and reasoning skills (including logical thinking and deductive reasoning) -Demonstrates and maintains awareness of technical innovations and progress in environmental field (including periodic literature examination for relative scientific information) -Ability to communicate effectively -Good work habits and documentation skills (i.e., cleanliness, accuracy, cautiousness, and neatness); -Reads, understands, and carries out SOPs -Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
