Tasks

As a Data Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for securely and accurately transferring data from legacy ERP systems to Deltek Vantagepoint. This role requires strong Microsoft SQL skills and a deep understanding of data structures, relationships, and strategy. You will work closely with the project team to plan, manage, and execute data migration projects. -Thoroughly test the migration process. -Reconcile data between legacy systems and migrated data. -Create workflows in Deltek Vantagepoint. -Collaborate with Operations to design, build, and customize reports using Microsoft Visual Studio. -Review and assess data to identify potential issues. -Develop and implement migration scripts and procedures. -Execute data migration in a production environment. -Understand and map data structures to ensure accurate data transfer. -Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance. -Perform data analysis on legacy systems. -Collaborate with project teams to determine data migration requirements. -Serve as a subject matter expert on Deltek Vantagepoint. -Research and develop new technologies and tools related to Deltek Vantagepoint.

What You Bring

-5+ years of development experience with Microsoft SQL Server. -Experience in data mapping between legacy systems and Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint. -Knowledge of accounting principles. -Proficiency in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint is required. -Excellent troubleshooting abilities. -Ability to work independently and within a team environment. -Ability to work collaboratively with project teams. -Understanding of data usage and implications for data migration. -Experience in data extraction and cleansing. -Experience working with ERP systems (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint) and understanding their data structures. -Experience in professional services is preferred but not required. -Experience with relational databases, including tables, views, queries, T-SQL, and stored procedures. -Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading into Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint. -Ability to develop complex queries and stored procedures using SQL for Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint workflows and custom reports. -Experience in developing best practices, processes, and standards for data migration activities. -Thorough understanding of database systems and data migration techniques. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
