Tasks

-Signing and Pavement Marking Design -Supervise and mentor younger engineers -Represent Stanley Consultants at technical meetings with agency staff, clients, and contractors -Complete Streets, Bicycle and Pedestrian improvements design -Preparation of Project Specifications and Estimates -Serve, as required, as the Project Manager, Project Lead, or Task Lead in the development of traffic and safety projects -Prepare traffic signal design plans for new and modified intersections, construction sequencing, pavement marking plans, signing plans, and traffic control plans -Provide traffic engineering support to local and national practice areas -Evaluation of Alternative Design Concepts -Complete Streets, Bicycle and Pedestrian improvement studies -Prepare traffic impact studies, traffic signal warrant studies, intersection design studies, safety studies, bicycle planning, and technical report writing -Provide technical assistance and quality control oversight on traffic engineering studies and design projects managed by other project managers and task leads

What You Bring

-Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license -Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) or Road Safety Professional 1 (RSP1) certification -Familiarity with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the AASHTO Green Book -Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering; Master of Science in Civil Engineering is a plus -Membership in ITE or other professional organizations aligned with traffic engineering -A working knowledge of MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or other advanced software packages -Direct experience with DOT, local county, municipal, and/or developer driven transportation and traffic project -Proficiency with SYNCHRO, HCS, SIDRA, VISSIM, CORSIM or other traffic capacity and analysis software -4+ years of relevant experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, and/or Intelligent Transportation Systems
