Prepare and paint industrial surfaces using sandblasting and coating techniques.

Tasks

-Inspect surfaces to ensure proper preparation and finish. -Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications. -Protect surrounding areas using masking or covering techniques. -Prepare surfaces by performing abrasive blasting (sandblasting, grit blasting, etc.) to remove rust, scale, and old coatings. -Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work site. -Calculate materials needed for each job and minimize waste. -Maintain and clean blasting and painting equipment. -Apply industrial coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of epoxy, urethane, and high-performance coating systems. -Certifications in blasting or industrial painting (preferred, not required). -Valid driver's license and good driving record. -Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy equipment and materials. -Understanding of OSHA regulations and site safety best practices. -Experience with surface prep standards such as SSPC/NACE. -Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends. -Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and wear PPE as required. -Familiarity with blasting equipment and industrial painting techniques. -Willingness to travel as needed. -Proven experience in sandblasting, painting, or a similar industrial role.
