Tasks

-Undertaking cable system design, substation design (grid and distribution), and equipment specification. -Assisting with tendering, bids, and proposals, providing technical expertise. -Helping to mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to team growth. -Producing and reviewing technical specifications, FEED and concept studies. -Acting as Owner’s Engineer and providing technical advisory/due diligence support. -Supporting site-based activities, including FAT, SAT and commissioning. -Supporting and leading the delivery of electrical engineering projects across distribution and transmission systems.

What You Bring

-Previous project delivery experience (leading or co-ordinating tasks). -Gas and air insulated switchgear, transformers, harmonic filters, and reactive compensation equipment. -Power system protection and control (experience desirable). -Working towards or already holding Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with IET (or similar). -Experience in the design, specification, construction, operation or maintenance of distribution and transmission level networks. -Knowledge of key electrical equipment, such as: -Consulting experience (desirable, but not essential). -Solid understanding of the UK electricity system and regulatory/stakeholder environment. -Power cables (experience desirable). -Degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng/BSc minimum; MEng/MSc desirable).
