Tasks

-Implementing general compliance measures (including Sarbanes-Oxley and Corporations Act) as they affect Legal -Acquisitions (including multi-site/portfolio and mergers): carriage and project management of deals; due diligence; drafting, negotiation and documentation of sale agreements; execution and completion of sales; and assisting with post-close integration issues -Delivery of timely practical, commercial advice on a wide range of legal and commercial issues affecting the company and its portfolio such as in relation to: -Leading & Collaboration – mentoring junior staff and working collaboratively within the Legal team and with other key departments -Championing lessons learned and continuous improvement, including better use of technology -Customer contracts: including existing and new customer site access arrangements (long and short term) -Managing enquiries and issues as they arise on day-to-day business operations and the company’s existing commercial, customer and property arrangements -Managing disputes/litigation to successful resolution where possible -Managing external/interstate counsel and liaising/negotiating with counterparty solicitors. -Developing and implementing processes for the company’s contracting and risk management systems and contribution to knowledge management systems

What You Bring

-Strong commercial judgment combined with innovative problem solving -Exposure to telecommunications and technology sectors and planning law is desirable. -Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to add value, including taking complete carriage of matters but also working cohesively in a dynamic team environment -Strong transactional experience in commercial, drafting, negotiating and contracting -Strategic & Commercial Acumen – working proactively and contextually within Indara’s operating environment -Experience in negotiating service contracts (upstream and downstream) -Customer Focus – understands internal and external needs and delivers solutions that are commercially sound, timely and aligned with business objectives -The ability to multitask and deliver in an agile, responsive way with a strong focus on positive customer outcomes (internal and external) -Experience in commercial property and/or corporate law -Experience in drafting Master Access Agreements (original and variations) is desirable -experience in managing disputes including debt recovery is desirable -Law firm experience, together with experience working in-house in a reputable company is preferred -The ability to quickly understand the commercial, operating, risk and opportunity drivers of the Indara business -Strong stakeholder management and partnering skills (including the executive leadership team) and ability to translate and simplify complex legal concepts for ease of use in business -tower access terms and related arrangements -Practicing certificate and appropriate tertiary qualifications from recognised university -Experience in mergers and acquisitions, setting up and overseeing agreements (e.g.: Tower Transfer Agreement) is desirable -Minimum 7+ years PQE
