The Role

Overview

Lead reliability strategy, maintenance programs and cross‑functional projects to boost equipment uptime.

Tasks

-Use data-driven approaches to identify trends, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement activities. -Mentor and educate GE Vernova team members on equipment operation and care. -Manage reliability-related projects from conception through implementation, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. -Engage with stakeholders to communicate reliability performance and improvement initiatives. -Lead projects and collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability and uptime. -Provide regular reports to management on reliability metrics, improvement initiatives, uptime improvement, and cost savings. -Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and overall plant performance. -Develop training programs and provide mentorship to enhance team skills and capabilities in equipment reliability. -Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address identified reliability concerns. -Conduct thorough root cause analyses for equipment failures and process issues. -Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and other reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies. -Coordinate with procurement and design teams to support the timely delivery and supply of materials and equipment. -Develop and implement reliability strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime. -Facilitate communication between departments to align reliability initiatives with overall business objectives. -Oversee the development and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs on critical equipment to deliver improved uptime.

What You Bring

-Good communication, coaching, and training skills to develop others’ technical skills. -Knowledge of EPA and OSHA guidelines. -Experience defining and implementing capital projects preferred. -Advanced troubleshooting skills. -Experience with maintenance management systems (Maximo, L2L preferred). -Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and cooling/heating systems. -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. -Servant leader mindset and can-do attitude. -Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Minitab, JMP). -Black belt certification. -Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions: -Experience as a maintenance engineer – 5 years minimum. -Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills. -Ability to read system schematics / P&IDs, and read and produce equipment drawings. -Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, maintenance strategies including TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma). -Experience with ISO standards. -Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and reliability sCertifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), or equivalent are highly desirable. -Minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or a related field. -Proven track record of leading reliability improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. -Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment. -Green belt certification
