Overview

Operate sweepers, skid steers, and haul trucks; perform inspections and site cleanup.

Tasks

-Adhere to all CEMEX, D.O.T. and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment -Perform clean-up work as necessary to keep tools, equipment, and working areas clean, orderly and safe. Must comply with company safety rules and regulations. -Responsible for daily or pre-shift inspections on vehicles, and for operating the vehicles safely -Meet or exceed company safety standards -Schedule or call for repairs and parts -Must wear protective equipment while at the location -Recognize potentially hazardous situations

What You Bring

-Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors -36-601.01). Smoking and/or the use of tobacco or related products is prohibited in and on CEMEX property as well as any building and/or vehicle owned or leased by CEMEX. -Be able to read, write, and speak English -Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in operating heavy equipment or commercial vehicle. -Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree -MVR - No DUI’s or DWI’s in the last 5 years, no more than 3 moving violations in the previous 3 years -Abile to be multi-diversified in performing other related duties such as maintenance/repair, and yard loading when needed -Bilingual a plus -Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment -Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime and weekends. -Acceptable CSA -Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls -High School diploma/GED equivalent. -Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time -Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL B) -Responsibile for being able to operate all mobile and heavy-duty equipment on site (sweepers, haul truck, among others) -Able to understand, interpret, and execute instructions given in both verbal and written form,
