Tasks

-Utilize equipment, material, and labor to maximize production and minimize costs in assigned responsibility. -Perform additional ad hoc assignments per managements direction. -Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor needs, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Managing the performance of productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence. -Set performance goals and deadlines. -Collaborate with engineers, Job teams, etc. to determine project needs. -Coordinate and interface effectively with superintendents and Foreman to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate. -Ensure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Company’s non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies. -Keep track of material stock and orders. -Supervise the crew(s) and craft workers in the application of all projects.

What You Bring

-Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Organizational and time-management skills. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Ideal candidate will have project experience with ports, docks, wharves, piers, bridges or other waterfont structures. -Experience with cranes is preferred. -8+ years’ experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. -High School Diploma/GED required. -Must be able to run multiple crews across various construction scopes. -Must have experience and professional knowledge of heavy civil infrastructure, marine infrastructure is preferred. -Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents. -General computer skills required, Microsoft Office proficiency (Word and Excel). -Must have ability to manage and inspire others. -Regular, reliable attendance -Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
