The Role
Overview
Maintain and repair HVAC/mechanical plant at nuclear power site, ensuring safety.

Tasks
-Ensure all work is delivered to high standards of health, safety, and quality assurance, in line with nuclear site requirements. -Support with maintenance of HVAC systems across the site, including office and welfare facilities. -Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain industry certifications and site competency. -Maintain and repair mechanical plant including pumps, air compressors, fans, motors, drives, pneumatic controls, and pressurisation systems. -Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of HVAC and mechanical systems, including heavy plant equipment. -Diagnose and resolve faults arising from help desk requests and operational reports.

Dalkia UK is looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to join our dedicated team at Sizewell B, working under our long-term partnership with EDF. This is a hands-on, technically challenging role in a highly regulated, heavy industrial environment—perfect for an engineer who thrives on responsibility and wants to contribute to one of the UK’s key energy generation sites. You’ll be a hands-on engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering, ideally gained in an industrial, utilities, energy, or nuclear environment. You take pride in your technical ability, attention to detail, and commitment to safety. -Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and industry standards -Competent with Microsoft Office and digital maintenance systems -Proven experience working on mechanical systems in an industrial setting, preferably HVAC -Time-served Mechanical Engineer with a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification -Comfortable working with both mechanical and basic electrical systems
