Tasks

-Support groundworks and external works including slabs, kerbs, and edgings when needed. -Carry out backfilling, compaction, and reinstatement works following installation. -Set out levels and falls accurately using laser levels or site drawings. -Conduct daily checks on tools, plant, and equipment to ensure safe operation. -Install and lay various drainage systems (surface water, foul, and storm) to line and level. -Collaborate effectively with other operatives, machine drivers, and site management to meet deadlines. -Work with concrete surrounds, manholes, and chambers as required. -Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on site. -Excavate, bed, and joint pipes safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with site specifications.

What You Bring

-Experience working as part of a drainage gang or utility team. -Valid CSCS card. -Please note that to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards affiliated with CSCS and carrying the CSCS hologram. We no longer accept traditional NPORS cards. If you would like further details on how to transfer your card from the traditional scheme to the CSCS scheme, please click here. -Collaborative approach with other trades and site teams. -Strong understanding of safe excavation and service avoidance procedures. -Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and within a team. -Additional CPCS/NPORS tickets (e.g. 360 Excavator, Dumper, Roller). -Punctual, dependable, and committed to quality workmanship. -5+ years’ experience in civil engineering or drainage works. -Positive attitude and ability to support site programmes and deadlines. -Competent in reading and interpreting site drawings and levels. -Must have Confined Spaces -Proven experience in pipelaying, drainage, or groundworks roles. -Must have the right to work in the UK.
