Terminal Operator I

Overview

Loads/unloads cement trucks/rail cars, handles paperwork & safety, supports customers.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Maintains supply point and 5S standards -Handles inquiries and orders for customers and sales personnel -Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. -Works with company apps for site emails, safety incident reporting, completing training and other programs. -Unloads product as per the daily schedule utilizing the on-site systems -Operates on site mobile equipment and receive training -Assists with basic maintenance of equipment on site -Loads trucks and/ or rail cars as per the daily schedule utilizing the on-site systems -Maintains shipping logs, prepares bills of lading, and calculates split-load tonnages based on a customer's instructions

What You Bring

-Ability to lift and carry up to 74 lb -Must be safety aware and able to adhere to company safety requirements -Effective problem-solving, decision-making and attention to detail -Ability to climb stairs several times a day as required -Experience with inventory control software and familiarity with MS Word and Excel is a plus -Good communication skills to deal with truckers, customers, and other employees -Work well with others and individually -Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. -Significant use of memory -Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred -High school graduation or equivalent is required -Gains full understanding and demonstrate adherence to the safety program
