Tasks

-Preparation of invoices for approval prior to payment -Ensure allocations of payments and receipts working with the necessary people to correct any errors -Ensure standardization of practice across the entities and consistency with corporate policies and practices -Support and contribute to ensuring the correct operation of the purchase order processing system -Prepare ad hoc analysis as requested -Assist in identifying processes improvements -Reconciling approved credit card reports and booking into the accounting system -Liaise with the purchasing manager and review purchase orders -Liaise with the local finance director to ensure that appropriate finance controls are in place and working -Assist in the timely submission of monthly cash flow forecasts. -Reconcile payments to VAT returns and support in the preparation of the VAT return and Interstat returns as and when required -Support the submission of RCT payment authorizations -Deal with Level 1 queries from customers -Support the Interco reconciliation process -Suggest and support opportunities for operational improvement -Process invoices on the accounting systems (PeopleSoft) -Assist in ensuring all Inter-company balances in the AR and AP ledgers are identified and re-classed to the correct GL accounts -Assist in month, quarter and year end close processes, as necessary -Support with Supplier Queries i.e. payment queries/ reconciling statements -Post any deferred transactions -Weekly reporting of AR ageing -Support a review period end VAT, AR & AP balance sheet reconciliations to ensure they are complete and up-to date and any differences reconciled -Preparation of weekly payment run for authorization -Upload (from 3rd party platforms) the necessary data to process the weekly billing run -Maintain the accounting records in an orderly and timely manner -Ensure all Suppliers/Vendors are correctly set up on the accounting system -Support the revenue reconciliation process -Reconcile AR and AP to General ledger -Ensure the AR and AP ledgers are maintained and cash is properly allocated -Matching of all supplier invoices to corresponding PO’s and Delivery notes -Ensure all daily/weekly/monthly tasks are identified and completed as required -Weekly bank reconciliation of bank accounts -Entering approved staff expenses and reconciling to the underlying receipts

What You Bring

-A minimum of two years’ experience in a comparable role -An accounting technician qualification or similar would be an advantage -Strong Excel skills will be beneficial to support analysis -Ability to work independently with minimal supervision under rigid time constraints -Strong experience using accounting systems (D365 Finance and Operations would be an advantage) -Possess a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, commitment and resourcefulness -Good time management and organisational skills / High attention to detail -Experience in the operation of VAT would be an advantage -Excellent communication skills -Ability to deliver customer service that meets or exceeds customers' expectation -Record VAT correctly (exposure to intra EU and reverse charge accounting of VAT an advantage)
