The Role

Overview

Prepare accurate cost estimates and quantity surveys for construction projects up to $5M.

Tasks

-Attend preconstruction meetings to learn project information and gain exposure to external customer interactions. -Independently develop complete project cost estimate package for projects in a range up to $5m, depending on complexity. -Identify, research and obtain relevant information, through independent research, related to items for which they are tasked with quantifying or soliciting subcontractor proposals. -Prepare consistently accurate, detailed, quantity surveys.

What You Bring

-Able to work flexible hours as needed or required by project or proposal deadlines. -Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple tasks under differing deadlines. -Careful attention to detail and resourcefulness in acquiring project specific information. -Able to work independently and as part of a team. -Awareness of the local subcontractor community and ability to understand and differentiate capabilities of the subcontractors being solicited for proposals. -Bachelors degree within the construction field. -Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software (Timberline or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar). -Excellent listening and communication skills. -Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
