Overview
Write and program CMM inspections for aerospace components using PC-DMIS.

Tasks
-Organize and plan work effectively to produce output according to budget and schedule constraints. -Write CMM programs to support operations. -Develop, produce, and modify process operation and assembly sheets. -Analyze the current state of CMM programs. -Troubleshoot programming result errors and work holding issues with production personnel to optimize automated inspection results -Develop CMM inspection strategies for high-precision aerospace components to ensure compliance with engineering requirements. -Create new and modify existing CMM programs using off-line systems. Preferably utilizing PC-DMIS. -Output new and edit existing code to run articulated automatic CMM machines.

What You Bring
Work Experience Employment is contingent on passing a customer administered certification course on CMM programming and GD&T. -Competency with machines and tools required to fabricate and manufacture sheet metal -Must be able to communicate effectively with manufacturing engineering, precision inspection personnel, and shop floor employees -Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints -Knowledge of Siemens NX solids and NX CMM or other CAD/ CAM, DEMIS, and MODUS tools -Knowledge of processes for cutting, bending, attaching, and welding sheet metal parts, tools, or components -Knowledge of GD&T and can integrate it within a production process. A keen understanding of blueprint interpretation is desired as well -Ability to characterize various tools, gages, and fixtures -Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering core processes (e.g. process planning, inspection planning, tooling, creation of operator instructions) -High competency using PC-DMIS software -3-5 years' experience in CMM setup, inspection, and programming techniques -Understanding of GD&T -Excellent communication and teamwork skills -Must be able to pass a customer administered certification course on CMM programming and GD&T. -Solid background in manufacturing
