Tasks

-Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to fully understand the self-perform drywall scope. -perform post-bid buyouts and material analysis to confirm pricing and delivery logistics. -Collaborate with the Project Manager and Field Superintendent to review takeoffs, labor budgets, and constructability before bid submission. -Support field teams post-award with clarifications, budget breakdowns, and scope handoffs. -Develop conceptual and detailed cost estimates during preconstruction and at various design stages. -Determine labor rates, crew compositions, and equipment costs for self-perform field teams. -Mentor and assist junior estimators or team members, sharing best practices in drywall estimating and project budgeting. -Prepare detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs, labor productivity analysis, and material pricing for drywall-related scopes. -Participate in bid day preparation, verifying the accuracy of pricing and quantities. -Evaluate and coordinated subcontractor and supplier quotes for materials such as drywall, framing and finishes. -Prepare and submit material requisitions and purchase requests for drywall self-perform work. -Maintain and meet bidding schedules, ensuring timely submission of estimates and proposals. -Perform all standard Estimator responsibilities with a focus on Drywall, metal framing, insulation and acoustical ceilings. -Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors in the drywall and building materials market. -Manage and secure all bid documents, drawings, and quote letters relevant to the drywall scope.
