Overview

Design & field support for power distribution projects in Southwest Florida

Tasks

-Drive to customer sites to document current conditions and assess needs. -Perform engineering calculations and design work, such as new power runs, equipment relocation, lighting, overhead to underground conversion, and overhead lines relocation. -Use design software packages like BOUD, Bentley Open Utility Designer, Smallworld, Maximo, and AutoCAD. -Ensure quality control and adherence to utility standards.

What You Bring

-Ability to use design software packages and general construction knowledge. -Ability to interact with diverse individuals from various backgrounds. -Understanding of basic engineering theories, principles, and practices. -Familiarity with engineering research and design evaluation. -Good written and oral communication skills. -Ability to present recommendations effectively. -Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, OR 2-year Technical Degree related to electrical and/or power distribution, OR a minimum of 3 years of experience in Power Distribution or Telecom. -Experience in the electric utility industry with knowledge of primary and secondary distribution systems. -Experience with quality control processes.
