Tasks

-Document and report field findings accurately and clearly -Observe, inspect, test, and sample construction materials (focus on masonry and concrete) in line with project specifications -Attend project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities -Maintain field equipment and report missing or damaged items promptly -Mentor junior technicians and support training efforts -Conduct destructive and non-destructive tests on construction materials including structural surveys, corrosion analysis, and material verification -Communicate daily with contractors, project managers, and technicians to ensure alignment on site conditions and any testing needs -Encourage participation and advancement in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities. -Support calculations, data reduction, and drafting tasks as needed

What You Bring

-Strong familiarity with Arizona-specific building codes and site conditions -Current ICC certification as a Masonry Special Inspector -Additional certifications in structural steel, soils, and aggregates -Prior work on heavy construction QA/QC projects -Proficiency with tablets/laptops for data entry and daily reporting -Must hold at least 2 special inspector certifications from recognized industry bodies (ICC, NICET, ACI, ASTM, NRC, etc.) -High School Diploma or GED required -Minimum 3 years of field experience in construction inspection -Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and engineering plans
