Tasks

-Establish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers -Participate in product meetings, seminars, and training schools to enhance and maintain personal product knowledge -Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51% -Gather and track feedback to be used to identify areas where pricing or markup need to be adjusted for future successful bids -Break down bid package and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors for project quotation levels while communicating deadline, project information, and any additional pertinent information available -In addition to processing bids, increase business by utilizing company digital tools to sell, promote, or demonstrate product knowledge to new and existing customers -Review bid package and all the requirements surrounding the package including technical requirements, approved manufacturers list, commercial requirements, project drawings, and documentation requirements -Receive pricing and put a bid tabulation together for review -Format customer request into a standardized spreadsheet for bid review -Negotiate pricing with supplier and offer substitute products where appropriate -Prepare and submit final proposal with all required documentation -Meet with team to discuss vendor strategy and margin levels

-Ability to assist in project design without rep/manufacturing assistance -Quote moderate to high profile/complex projects that require a high level of product knowledge -5+ years of experience customer service, project manager, or related experience -Up to 10 pounds - Occasionally – up to 20% -Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be self-motivated and enthusiastic about business -Ability to identify, read, and review project drawings (one-lines, gear and lighting schedules, and layouts.) -Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with project stakeholders -Handles or works with potentially dangerous equipment - None -Willingness to drive team growth through mentoring and coaching on product knowledge, process, and relationships -Up to 25 pounds - None -Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to drive decisions with influence -Experience with electrical distribution, lighting, and controls, or adjacent industry preferred -Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51% -Product and application knowledge essential -Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Occasionally – up to 20% -Strong organizational skills -Customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, customer service, time management, and problem-solving skills -Travels to offsite locations - Occasionally – up to 20% -High School or GED - Required -Ability to collaborate at all levels; including senior decision makers with customer and vendors -Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and/or exposure to heat and cold - Occasionally – up to 20% -Up to 50 pounds - None -Intermediate to advanced computer skills, specifically with Excel/Outlook/Word, /PDF editor (Blue Beam or Adobe) quote tool, and design software -Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Constantly – at least 51% -Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Occasionally – up to 20% -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
