-Perform inspections, including site investigations, data collection, analysis, to determine the root cause of failures, defects, or other issues. -Performs peer review of other technical data prepared by third party entities. -Provide assistance, advice and recommendations to different team members regarding technical issues on various projects. -Performs design, calculations and CAD drawings. -Generate expert reports that provide in-depth analysis, conclusions, and recommendations based on project requirements and findings. -Utilizes technical expertise to support architectural and engineering design processes. -Generate comprehensive field reports detailing observations, measurements, and findings from site visits and inspections. -Supervises testing activities and ensures accurate data collection for the accurate interpretation of results. -Works closely with the team to understand the scope of work, budget, goals, deliverables, and timeline to ensure project success. -Assist in the development and review of technical specifications, drawings, and construction documents. -Maintain compliance with licensing requirements and applicable regulations. -Performs a wide range of testing, including but not limited to material testing, structural analysis, and performance evaluations.
-Five plus years of experience in MEP Consulting and design engineering services environment. -Knowledge of FL building codes (ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA) regulations, and standards. -OSHA -10 Certification preferred. -Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering. -Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, fostering a positive and productive work environment, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members from various disciplines. -Ability to work in the field and to travel outside local areas as workload and projects when needed. -Ability to attend client meetings and events, as needed. -Professional Engineer license required. -Proficient written and verbal communication abilities. -Ability to develop sections and elevations for complex ductwork and piping areas as well as air and water flow diagrams. -Familiarity with drafting software for positions that utilize the software (AutoCAD) for positions that utilize the software. -Valid United States Driver’s License required, as this position requires travel to and from client sites. -Ability to coordinate HVAC system controls. -Attention to detail and accuracy in project documentation and deliverables. -Strong project management and organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently. -Strong understanding of mechanical design including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, domestic hot water boilers, hydronic piping systems, heat pumps and other applicable systems. -Effective communication skills to relay report content and observations to stakeholders during meetings. -Efficient time management skills while adhering to project budgets. -Deep understanding of heating and cooling calculations and familiarity with load calculation software such as Trane Trace, Carrier HAP or similar. -Experience with writing technical specifications and multidiscipline drawing coordination -Professional and courteous interaction with clients and colleagues.
