Provide professional services for water resources engineering projects to include planning, study, design, and construction administration
Lead specific tasks of large projects or manage smaller projects and manage performance of assigned project team members including other Project Engineers, Engineers in Training, and Engineering Technicians
Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings
Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
Maintain existing client relationships and pursue relationships with new clients
Perform analysis and planning related to floodplain and stormwater management facilities utilizing XP/InfoSWMM, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, and other water resource engineering software
May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
Assist the Water Resources Group Manager in identifying, evaluating, pursuing, and managing project opportunities
Provide review of stormwater management plans submitted to municipalities
Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments

Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Master’s degree in a water resources related field
Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain.
Knowledge of project financials
Strong communication skills
3 to 5 years of experience in water resources engineering
Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
Municipal or industrial wastewater treatment planning and design experience
Registration as a Professional Engineer
Knowledge of Minnesota design standards and permitting
Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development
May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members

Anticipated Starting Salary: $82,800-$101,200 per year DOE (Compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, etc.) Position will remain posted until filled.
