Tasks
-Applies the fundamentals of data transformation (such as cleaning and structuring data for reporting), through the use of power query or methods outside of the BI tech stack, such as Python. -As an assistant Power BI developer, you will generally work under the direction of a senior colleague, although you may work independently on short-term, low complexity projects. -You will contribute to the delivery of the overall solution by collaborating with others and/or being responsible for a specific area of delivery. -Makes use of organisational features such as layout, headers and tooltips to convey context. -You will be expected to adhere to a structured development lifecycle that includes requirements definition, design, development and testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, handover and post-implementation support. -You will be expected to attend all training and other sessions organised by the centre of excellence, as well as keeping your knowledge of Power BI up to date through self-directed learning. -The principal responsibility of the role is to contribute to the development of digital tools, processes and outputs, including interactive Power BI reports, that support the wider project team and enable better delivery of projects for our clients. -Creates basic DAX measures to support report use cases.

What You Bring
-Good interpersonal skills. -The confidence to ask questions, make suggestions and challenge the status quo. -Knowledge of good data structure and development processes -Understanding of techniques for analysis and visualisation of information, e.g. though charts, reports and dashboards -Understanding of working in a consultancy environment and management of stakeholders including clients, project managers and data owners. -Awareness of data security and role-based permissions -Able to link two related tables in a data model using an ID or key field. -Understands star schema design and its benefits. -The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. -You may contribute to requirements definition, documentation and training materials as part of a wider team, so effective communication skills are a must. -Able to articulate where to use calculated measures vs query calculations or calculating at source. -Excellent written and oral communication skills (in English) and presentational skills. -Demonstrates understanding of effective visual layering, selecting the right visuals for the type of information displayed. -An aptitude for problem-solving.
