Overview

Estimate and prepare tenders for water infrastructure projects, ensuring competitive and accurate bids.

Tasks

-Prepare enquiry schedules and liaise with the procurement team in the selection of appropriate companies from whom quotations should be sought. -Produce analytical rate build up information for Bills of Quantities in an accurate and well detailed format. -Obtain sufficient quotations to enable valid commercial judgements at the tender finalisation meetings. -Prepare preliminary cost estimates. -Identify and analyse risks and produce a risk register for each tender. -Identify and analyse opportunities to give a commercial advantage to tenders. -Preparation of commercial documents for tender submission. -Provide all information necessary to enable the review of the conditions of contract, insurance, bonds, and warranties. -Manages time efficiently, plans and prioritises work activities. -Continually refine analytical cost data derived from feedback. -Attend tender finalisation meetings, present all relevant cost information, and complete the tender as instructed.

What You Bring

-Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures. -Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the Galliford Try values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration. -Able to understand / produce: Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s) -Understanding of Conditions of Contract -Influencing, negotiation and delegation skills. -Clean Water, Wastewater and Sludge Treatment experience preferred. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Understanding of Clients Asset Standards and WIMES Specifications. -Critical analysis and decision-making skills. -High level of commercial awareness and technical knowledge.
