Survey Division Manager/Licensed Surveyor

Tasks

-Prepare or direct preparation of client deliverables. -Responsible for technical performance on small projects and/or designated tasks on large projects. -Make surveying decisions and document the same in survey reports. -Write and review legal descriptions. -Review field notes, daily records, and data/results received from survey staff. -Coordinate and assist in preparing project estimates and schedules. -Complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner. -Guides, mentors and directs survey analysts and technicians in the completion of their assignments. -Compile and research existing data for projects as needed to efficiently complete survey requirements. -Analyze deeds, title reports, and other research materials for the production of survey maps and reports. -Ensure QC process has been completed prior to survey products submission. -Perform complex survey/geomatics calculations and analysis of survey data for preparing survey maps, plats, and right of way mapping. -Offer constructive feedback and direction to support project goals.

What You Bring

-General experience dealing directly with clients and managing projects is a plus. -Skill in planning, organizing, and managing multiple work assignments concurrently. -Effective coordination and communication with other team members. -2-5 years post-registration as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of VA. -Proficient with field equipment and standard field procedures. -Successful history of project/task management on public and private projects as well as Site Development and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys. -Familiar with engineering design and construction practices. -Ability to multi-task and efficiently respond to changing priorities -Proficient with Civil 3D CADD software with three years of experience -Thorough knowledge of land surveying principles and practices. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. -Proven experience providing excellent customer service and meeting project schedules. -Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
