Tasks

-Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP. -Perform security reviews of architecture, infrastructure, and applications; identify gaps, and implement mitigation strategies. -Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on cloud security best practices and emerging threats. -Support strategies that optimize resource utilization while minimizing cost. -Partner with GRC teams to refine cloud security policies and IAM standards. -Manage CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management) and container security solutions. -Provide coaching and mentorship to junior staff. -Lead incident response efforts and support cloud security tabletop exercises. -Oversee user access controls and privileged account management aligned with industry standards. -Conduct security assessments and ensure compliance with NIST, CIS, and other frameworks. -Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to embed secure practices in CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

One of our clients in the utility industry is seeking a highly skilled Principal Solutions Architect to join their Cybersecurity organization. In this role, you will partner with the Cloud Engineering team to ensure secure configuration and management of cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and other major platforms. You will lead cloud security initiatives, provide expert guidance, conduct assessments, and drive the design and implementation of secure cloud solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in cloud platform engineering, containerization, and security frameworks who want to make an impact in a large-scale, mission-critical environment. -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). -Strong knowledge of cloud incident response, secure configuration, and compliance frameworks. -Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). -Proven success in cloud platform engineering with direct experience in Azure and AWS. -Familiarity with CISSP or similar security certifications.
