Digital Solutions Application Engineer

Overview

Provide technical support and consultancy on digital solutions for power distribution.

Tasks

-To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service of the department. -Work to ISO 9001 quality standards. -Provide technical support data for the contracts and sales & marketing teams and help negotiate technical issues at customer level -Assist in identifying new products and services for development and integrate these into the Lucy service offering. -Coordinate the development of projects from pre-sales through to implementation. -Develop new customers and markets in conjunction with BDM -Give demonstrations to both new and existing customers -Provide technical support to the BDM, Sales Managers and teams. -Train Lucy associates in existing and new Digital Solutions technology and relevance to distribution network systems -Manage technical interfaces in contracts and automation engineering functions

What You Bring

-Must have a positive and confident approach to tasks -Ability to relate digital solutions technology to customers distribution switchgear control needs. -Ability to formulate and present commercial and technical quotations. -Ability to thrive in a high pressure and developing environment. The ability to continuously improve standards & quality of the department. -An ability to think logically and practically -Good working Knowledge of primary and secondary switchgear -Technical expertise in Lucy Digital Solutions and competitor technology and product offering. -Good interpersonal skills with a pleasant and can-do attitude -Project Management experience. -Highly organised -RTU and Automation design experience -Excellent attention to detail -Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines -Good problem-solving skills -Adherence to all Company Health & Safety Policies, Procedures and Safe Working Practices. -Technical background in automation, switchgear or protection systems. -Able to work both independently and within a team -Good communication and presentation skills.
