What You Bring
-At least 15 years of practical experience in I&C design, selection, installation, commissioning. -Experience in international engineering teams. -Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical engineering -Experience with projects for Hazard Location specially in North America. -Ability to travel as needed. -Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems instrument selection -Experience with electrical design international standards IEC and IEEE. -Electrical LV Desired Previous Experience -Manages Complexity -Licensed professional engineer is considered an asset -Experience with heat tracing calculations. -Previous EPC, Oil & Gas experience is considered an asset. Focus -Thorough understanding of all applicable NA Electrical, & Safety standards o Experience with the following standards UL508, UL508A, NFPA79, NFPA 70, CSA equivalent, NEC, CEC, OSHA, and other standards for North America. -Experience with HAZOP & LOPA -Self starter, positive, with a strong ability to work cross functionally in a matrix organization with limited supervision -Experience with intrinsic safety calculations. -Masters degree is considered an asset -Good command of SPI, Conval, WSCAD, SEE Electrical, ePlan, AutoCad Electrical -Working understanding of Siemens PLC’s, analog/digital inputs, etc. -Ability to work in design, & selection environments, as well as manufacturing & commissioning. -Must be able to deal with complex and sometimes contradicting requirements. Can handle ambiguity by decoupling major goals into achievable work packages. -Formal Lean Six Sigma training is considered an asset -Thorough background in PFD, P&ID, Electrical drawings, & LV
