Tasks
A Remote Monitoring Centre (RMC/RCC) Analyst is responsible for proactively monitoring systems, events, and data streams from a remote location. You will analyse alerts to identify potential incidents, escalate issues, and perform initial troubleshooting to ensure system stability and security. -Incident detection and management: Triage incoming alerts and determine if they represent a security threat, system failure, or other incident . -Process improvement: Participate in reviewing and improving monitoring procedures, processes, and incident response playbooks -Active monitoring: Watch real-time monitoring tools, dashboards, and alerts for system events, alarms, and anomalies. -Incident escalation: Follow established procedures to escalate complex or major incidents to the appropriate technical support teams, on-site personnel, or emergency services . -Initial investigation and troubleshooting: Perform first-line analysis to identify the cause of an alert or incident. This can involve checking logs, verifying system status, or restarting systems. -Maintenance: Support operational processes such as system releases, patches, and routine maintenance activities -Communication: Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders, including technical teams and customers, about the status of an incident -Reporting and documentation: Create detailed, accurate reports of incidents, including root-cause analysis, and maintain a log of all monitoring activities .

What You Bring
-A minimum qualification in a relevant data analytics or process discipline is required. -Full UK driving license -Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of the systems being monitored is essential -Organizational skills: Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize a heavy and often unpredictable workload are necessary -Analytical thinking: The ability to analyse complex data from multiple sources, spot trends, and diagnose problems quickly is critical -Software proficiency: Experience with monitoring systems, ticket-tracking software, and other industry-specific tools is often required -A proactive, adaptable, and analytical approach to solving complex issues under pressure -Problem-solving: The ability to troubleshoot issues and think logically under pressure is highly valued. -Strong knowledge of relevant systems and technologies, such as SCADA, HMI, or specialised incident management software. -Attention to detail: A sharp focus is required to notice small changes or anomalies that could indicate a larger problem Excellent written and verbal communication -Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Packages
