Tasks
This is a key leadership role within the regional board, offering real influence over business strategy and delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior construction professional to take ownership of multiple large-scale housing and residential development projects across the region. You’ll oversee all aspects of construction operations – including project planning, budgeting, quality assurance, health & safety, and team performance – ensuring every project is delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest standards. -Drive continuous improvement in site safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. -Lead and manage the regional construction function across multiple housing developments. -Report to senior leadership on progress, performance, and risk management. -Manage recruitment, development, and performance across the construction team. -Provide input into new business opportunities and project feasibility. -Work collaboratively with commercial, technical, and sales teams to ensure successful delivery. -Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. -Oversee project planning, programme management, and operational delivery.

What You Bring
-SMSTS, First Aid, and relevant H&S training required. -Proven experience as a Construction Director, Head of Construction, or Operations Director within the housebuilding or residential development sector. -Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and PLC processes. -Track record of delivering high-quality, safe, and profitable developments. -Degree in Construction Management or related field (desirable). -Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, programming, and commercial performance. -Strong leadership and team management skills with experience overseeing multiple projects. -Confident communicator with the ability to influence at board level.
